PLAYBOX: Being Silly

Playbox: BEING SILLY

My story time: Why Haley and I chose this specific project of puppets for being silly. When we decided the puppets because we found that they are very essential to child care. These puppets that we made are not only for play, but it’s talking to children by expressing your emotions. Also, They help make the environment more light in tough situations like how Rachel mention in our Playbox. When doing those puppets, it leads to a conversation that can help everyone relate. When creating the puppets we can have different race/ethnicity by expressing the way they are making them.

My experience planning out: To tell you the truth Haley did most of the planning; this activity took her five minutes to plan. So, when I asked her what you would like me to do? She asked me to gather materials and also look at the presentation she has created But also is why if it was the best activity to do for being silly. It was fun finding different materials to see what the class would create as a college level. Also when gathering the stuff, I thought about the different levels of what youth are able to develop, like using scissors or glue. The challenges for me was finding music for the background. Also making examples to show what we are looking for in the PlayBox. I feel like besides those challenges we did great overall because we saw everyone creative side and let them relax for the long day they had. Lastly, it helped each person express how they felt that day or in general through creating the puppets. The changes I would have made to this is maybe having cut out pieces so its easier to make. Second I would give more time to this craft so more people can finish and shown what they have done.
